About Me

Welcome to the Honeysuckle Lane Quilting Studio!  My name is Tryce Beadle.  My journey in sewing started from as early as I can remember.  My Mom always made my and my sisters clothing when we were young... often matching, to our horror.  We still, to this day, laugh when we think about it because my middle sister always seemed to get the "ugly" color.

It was a natural progression for me as I got older, eventually taking the required Home Economics Course.  I ultimately got really into garment sewing for myself, and eventually my little girl.  As she got older, the sewing of garments subsided; however, I was introduced to the world of quilting!  My obsession with fabric went into overdrive.  My need to cut, sew and create finding the outlet it craved.  As I have only been quilting for roughly 14 years, I still consider my self a "newbie".  I have discovered, through this passion, that there is always more to learn.  With my love of quilting, I found myself often in the "how do I quilt this" predicament.  Anything bigger than a large lap quilt was just so difficult on my domestic machine.  This still didn't stop me however, I continued to power through the pain of being on my knees basting, and wrangling the quilt through my faithful Janome.  I simply loved this hobby (obsession).

The pull of those long-arm machines was undeniable at Quilt Festival in Houston.  I know for many of us, the expense is more than one can justify for what is often considered a "hobby", not to mention the floor space they take up in the home.  Ultimately, I did get my own long-arm machine...and LOVED it.  There is nothing more thrilling than unrolling that finished top off of the machine.

After much soul searching, having been in a corporate job within the oil & gas industry for 18+ years, it was time to move on   And now, here I sit, writing about this new adventure I am on.  I want everyone to have access to these wonderful APQS machines.  One simple orientation class, and you will be ready.  Together, lets make your quilt the best it can possibly be!

I cannot wait to meet each of you. Thank You.
